Our two bedroom, two bathroom gite, which sleeps 6/8 is a typical 300 year old Charantaise Farmhouse located in a rural part of south west France in an area renowned for being one of the sunniest parts of the country.

The village of Benest with it’s bar and restaurant and boulangerie is one kilometre away, while the larger village of Champagne Mouton (with it’s market) and providing everything you might need, is five kilometres away.
Ideally situated for exploring the local treats of the area known as Poitou-Charente, with La Rochelle, Royan, Futurescope (Poitiers), Cognac, Limoges etc. all within very easy reach.
The area is perfect for walking, cycling, fishing, horse riding and other activities such as golf, tennis and boating are also available nearby.

Are you looking to rent a self catering holiday home in rural France or need somewhere to stay for bed and breakfast?

Our two bedroom, two bathroom gite, which sleeps 6/8 is attached to our residence, is totally self contained and has its own entrance.

We are situated in south west France set amidst rolling farmlands, which are ablaze with sunflowers in summer, Logis Sainte-Terre, which means Holy Ground, offers a haven of peace and tranquillity.

Our property is a typical 300 year old Charentaise Farmhouse which stands in the grounds of a Medieval Logis (fort). Remnants of the old walls can still be seen in the area today.

Also on the site is a derelict Manor House with its 14th century chapel, original pigeonnier and restored bread oven
